A family-owned seed company since 1885
Laboulet Semences is a French family-owned seed breeding company founded in 1885 in the north of France. For over 140 years, five generations of the Laboulet family have dedicated themselves to one mission: developing superior hybrid seed genetics for professional growers.
Today, our varieties are grown in more than 30 countries across Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia. We specialize in sunflower (high oleic, linoleic, striped, and black oil), corn, linseed, castor bean, and peas.
Our breeding station and production facilities are located in the Somme department of northern France, at the heart of one of the country's leading agricultural regions. This unique terroir provides ideal conditions for selecting and testing new varieties year after year.
Every variety we release undergoes 8-10 years of rigorous selection and multi-environment testing before reaching the market.
We work directly with farmers in 30+ countries, providing tailored agronomic advice and variety recommendations.
Our R&D program invests in high oleic profiles, disease resistance, and climate adaptation to meet tomorrow's agricultural challenges.
We breed varieties that require fewer inputs and adapt to local conditions, reducing the environmental footprint of agriculture.
