Cfb — oceanic temperate
France's largest region, Nouvelle-Aquitaine concentrates an exceptional agronomic mosaic: Landes sands, boulbenes and clay-limestone terreforts of the South-West (Lot-et-Garonne, Gers), Bordeaux gravels, Charentais alluvium and Limousin plateaus. With 1,576 GDD, 307 frost-free days and a moderate summer water deficit (-87 mm), it is one of the historical hearts of sunflower and irrigated maize production in France. Vineyards, fruits, livestock and field crops coexist. Laboulet offers here its core sunflower range — oleic and linoleic IMI hybrids for hot stormy summers — along with mid-early to mid-late maize hybrids for the Adour basin, and oilseed linseed varieties for the diversified rotations of Poitou-Charentes.
