Protein pea finds in Brittany a cool, regular oceanic climate ideal for emergence and flowering. The acidic pH (5.5) requires liming attention, but silt-loam soils are otherwise well suited. LS Envergure, LS Kalina and LS Paprika can diversify rotations often reduced to maize–wheat–ryegrass in livestock zones, bringing a structuring effect and valuable nitrogen for the following crop.
